Moduleo warranties: collection, purchase date and commercial conditions
Read the terms for the actual product and purchase. A lifetime headline, a commercial classification and a water-resistance claim answer different questions.
Which document is being summarised?
This page summarises selected clauses from Moduleo’s vinyl warranty conditions, version 03.2026. Its general conditions restrict it to the listed first-grade products purchased after that edition date. It is not a replacement warranty for an older purchase. Match the invoice, exact product and intended use to the applicable terms before using the table below.
Headline periods in the March 2026 document
| Product | Residential | Commercial |
|---|---|---|
| Roots 40 | Lifetime | 7 years |
| Roots 55 | Lifetime | 10 years |
| Moods | Lifetime | 10 years |
| LayRed 4+1 and 5+1 mm | Lifetime | 5 years; up to 15 only on request |

Conditions that change the answer
The document limits coverage to the first owner and first installation, without transfer. Its standard commercial cover excludes, among other uses, food-service, institutional and heavy-commercial applications; obtain project-specific confirmation. Removal and replacement labour is not an automatic entitlement. Pages 3, 5 and 6.
For LayRed 5+1 mm, the water-resistance row excludes production before September 2025. The terms also distinguish material defects from accidental damage. Pages 1–4.
Our buying advice: put each question in writing before ordering. Do not assume the longest period on a table applies to the room, product generation or use you are purchasing.
What should you ask about “lifetime”?
Ask the supplier to identify the contractual meaning, covered event, eligibility and remedy for your specific purchase. Ask whether the quoted answer changes for business use, a tenancy, a sale of the property or an older production batch. A headline word alone is not a practical claims procedure.
We have not converted “lifetime” into a predicted service life or promised an entirely new fitted room. Those would be different claims requiring their own support.
Make a warranty record before purchase
- Record collection, design, code, construction and proposed use.
- Retain the actual warranty document and its version, not only a screenshot of a headline.
- Ask for written confirmation of any project-specific commercial extension.
- Record who is responsible for preparation, installation and handover.
- Keep the invoice, packaging identification and relevant correspondence.
Where a quotation mentions a special warranty, ask to see the manufacturer’s written acceptance attached to that quotation. A request for an extension should not be described as an extension already granted.
If you need to raise a concern
Start with a clear report: product identification, purchase and fitting dates, photographs, the affected rooms and when the issue first appeared. Include the cleaning history and any relevant building work. Ask the supplier to explain the next assessment step before arranging a repair or removing the floor.
Separate your questions about the material from questions about the fitting work. Keep the response and any proposed remedy in writing. This checklist summarises a manufacturer document; it does not decide a dispute or assess separate rights against a retailer or installer.
Discuss your floor, not just a product name
Bring your collection and product code, a room sketch and the questions you still need answered. This makes a more useful conversation than asking whether an entire brand is right for every room.
