Moduleo cleaning and care: a routine for the exact floor

Use a care routine matched to your collection. Remove dirt gently, select approved cleaning products and check the actual instructions before trying a stronger treatment or using steam.

A practical everyday routine

Moduleo’s care webpage recommends removing grit, dealing promptly with spills and using approved detergents with a damp mop. It warns that rubber or latex contact can stain the surface. Its guidance makes cleaning frequency dependent on traffic and soiling, rather than one timetable for every room.

Our planning suggestion is to make a short care card for the room: identify the floor, the approved cleaner and equipment, and where you keep the instructions. Review that card when cleaners, tenants or maintenance contractors change.

What should happen after installation?

The linked Maintenance matters leaflet, page 5 says the adhesive must finish curing before cleaning a gluedown installation. It does not call for an extra finishing layer on the new floor.

Ask the installer to record when your floor can receive its first clean and which products to use. A clock time written on the handover sheet is more useful than assuming that a click-floor example also applies to a gluedown installation.

Can I use a vacuum cleaner?

The manufacturer leaflet, pages 5–7 specifies soft wheels and a suitable parquet brush. Check the actual equipment that will be used; the machine name alone does not describe its contact with the floor.

Before a contract cleaner starts, ask them to identify the equipment and products on their method statement. For domestic cleaning, keep your equipment check alongside the care card so another member of the household can follow the same routine.

Is steam cleaning allowed?

There is an important difference between Moduleo’s sources. The general webpage discourages steam appliances. The linked leaflet, page 8 describes conditional steam use for LayRed, using a covering cloth and low power. Do not extend that exception to Roots or Moods.

Our advice while identifying your floor is to use the approved non-steam routine. Obtain confirmation of the applicable instructions for the exact product before purchase or use of a steam appliance. We have not treated these differing statements as a blanket permission or prohibition for every Moduleo floor.

Persistent marks: stop guessing the treatment

Record what was spilled or used, how long it remained and what cleaning has already been attempted. Photograph the affected area and the wider room in ordinary light. Send the product code and those details when requesting advice.

Ask for the exact treatment and label instructions before buying another product. Do not treat a dull patch, a stain and a physical scratch as the same problem. This guide does not diagnose damage or supply a universal solvent, bleach or abrasive-cleaning recipe.

A care checklist for homes and workplaces

  • Keep the collection, product code and purchase record with the care instructions.
  • Identify the permitted cleaner, equipment and first-clean timing.
  • Ask how entrance mats and furniture protection should be checked.
  • For a business, assign responsibility for the cleaning method and reporting concerns.
  • Keep a record of changes to cleaning products or equipment.

A residential routine is not a signed-off commercial cleaning specification. Give the maintenance contractor the exact product documents and obtain clarification where the intended equipment is not addressed.

Discuss your floor, not just a product name

Bring your collection and product code, a room sketch and the questions you still need answered. This makes a more useful conversation than asking whether an entire brand is right for every room.
