Panaget: questions and answers
Panaget makes engineered French-oak parquet in plank and decorative formats. Comparing the exact board, wood grade, surface finish and laying method matters more than choosing from one photograph.
Is Panaget real wood?
Named Panaget engineered oak floors have a genuine oak top layer, supported by a manufactured core. Check its thickness and construction for your chosen reference.
What does Point de Hongrie mean?
It is a chevron/parquet layout with angled ends. It needs particular geometry, alignment and cutting unlike a standard straight plank.
Can every Panaget board be sanded?
No general guarantee applies. Sanding depends on wear-layer thickness, construction and the manufacturer’s explicit instructions.
Can Panaget be installed above underfloor heating?
Some named boards allow it under conditions. Confirm the heating system, temperature limits, flooring reference and any specified glue-down method.
Is chevron installation more expensive?
It can require additional cutting, layout planning, product packs and labour. A measured plan determines the actual difference.
Is an oiled Panaget floor cleaned like a lacquered floor?
No. Use maintenance products and cleaning instructions suited to the actual surface finish and avoid excessive water.
How many packs should I order?
Use room geometry, board format, design waste and the selected product’s pack coverage, rounding up to full packs.
What should I bring for a Panaget estimate?
Identify the exact product, planned room layout, subfloor information, heating system, thresholds and any removal work; confirm the full fitted scope.
