Leoline: questions and answers
Leoline specialises in cushioned sheet vinyl with wood, tile and stone-effect designs. A useful comparison examines the actual construction, roll width, backing, floor preparation and slip or cleaning requirements before looking at colour alone.
What is Leoline flooring made for?
Leoline supplies residential sheet vinyl in designs that resemble timber, stone and tiles. Suitability depends on the selected collection and its performance classification, not simply its wood- or tile-look surface.
Does Leoline Comfytex PU have a cushioned backing?
Leoline describes Comfytex PU with a Luxatex backing. It may be suitable over certain existing surfaces, but the subfloor and fitting instructions still require assessment.
What are Balmani 594’s published technical figures?
Leoline lists 2.55 mm total thickness, 16 dB acoustic insulation, class 23 use and Cfl-s1 fire classification on its Balmani 594 product page. Check the current document before specification.
Can Leoline sheet vinyl be used with underfloor heating?
The manufacturer lists Balmani 594 as suitable with a maximum of 27°C. Check the exact floor, heating controller, substrate and commissioning procedure; other products may differ.
Does sheet vinyl need joins?
Sometimes. The available roll widths, room dimensions, pattern direction and obstructions determine the number and placement of joins. A measured cutting plan is needed before a final quotation.
Can I lay Leoline over my old tiles?
Some Comfytex PU marketing refers to installing over existing flooring, but only where the substrate meets the applicable instructions. Uneven grout, moisture or movement may still need preparation.
How should I clean Leoline?
Leoline advises prompt spill removal, regular vacuuming and damp mopping with suitable cleaning products. Follow the named collection’s instructions and avoid unsuitable rubber/latex mats where warned.
How is Leoline fitted price calculated?
The full price includes the purchased sheet width and length, planned cuts, substrate works, fixing materials, thresholds, labour and VAT. Net floor area multiplied by £/m² is rarely the entire cost.
