Leoline: product and fitting guide

Leoline specialises in cushioned sheet vinyl with wood, tile and stone-effect designs. A useful comparison examines the actual construction, roll width, backing, floor preparation and slip or cleaning requirements before looking at colour alone.

Compare Leoline’s sheet vinyl collections

The FloorDesigns manufacturer archive identifies Comfytex PU Balmani 594, Comfytex Deluxe Max Chaparral Oak 509 and Artiste Achilles 583. They are individual floor references, not interchangeable specifications. Balmani 594 offers a marble-look tile aesthetic within Comfytex PU.

The manufacturer describes Comfytex PU as sheet vinyl with Luxatex backing, Superguard surface treatment and additional slip-resistance. Select a physical sample and confirm the precise design and currently available roll format before measuring.

Understand the published Balmani specification

Leoline’s Balmani 594 product page lists 2.55 mm total thickness, class 23 domestic use, a Cfl-s1 fire classification and 16 dB acoustic insulation. The listing states suitability with underfloor heating up to a 27°C maximum.

Those figures are specific to Balmani 594, not a universal statement covering every Leoline floor or use. Confirm the latest technical sheet and intended application before giving an installation instruction.

Allow for roll widths and shaped rooms

Sheet vinyl is purchased from a roll, so measured room area alone can understate the material needed. Record the maximum length and width, recesses, alcoves, doorways, pattern direction and whether a seam will be required.

Assess whether an offcut could serve a small adjoining space before ordering additional material. An installer should plan the cuts, and the quote should explain purchased coverage separately from the finished floor area.

Check the subfloor, not only the backing

Leoline markets selected backed products as suitable for installation over particular existing surfaces, but substrate condition, telegraphing, moisture, flatness and joints still matter. A blanket rule that old tiles never need preparation would be misleading.

Follow the named collection’s fitting guide and confirm adhesive, perimeter detailing, temperature and underfloor-heating limitations. Include subfloor preparation as a separately visible cost.

Balance water-resistant flooring with correct cleaning

Leoline’s cleaning advice recommends promptly removing spills, vacuuming with a hard-floor attachment and using a damp mop and appropriate diluted cleaner. It also warns that some rubber or latex entrance mats may stain the floor.

Water-resistant sheet vinyl is not a substitute for waterproofing damaged subfloors or controlling leaks. Avoid harsh, unapproved chemicals, and protect the surface from dragged furniture and grit.

Make the entire installation quote comparable

A FloorDesigns estimate should identify the exact Leoline design, purchased roll width, sheet quantity, seams, uplift, floor preparation, fitting, thresholds and VAT. Agree any access restrictions before work starts.

Keep the manufacturer product code and cleaning document with the order. The research examples are not a guarantee of stock, fixed pricing, a matching batch or next-day delivery.
