iSense: questions and answers
iSense carpets by Associated Weavers focus on soft, luxurious polyamide carpet textures. The ranges Suspense, Obsession and Subtlety illustrate why pile construction, measured density, room use and underlay must accompany a sample-led choice.
Is iSense carpet made from nylon?
The manufacturer lists Suspense 03 Ermine as 100% polyamide (nylon), but always check your particular iSense range and colour. Obsession and Subtlety have their own published product data.
What is the difference between Suspense and Obsession?
They are separate Associated Weavers iSense collections. Compare the physical pile, weight, finish, care and use classifications for each instead of assuming similar colours mean the same product.
Is iSense suitable for a hallway?
The specific Suspense 03 manufacturer listing includes intensive domestic rooms such as halls and entrances. Confirm the exact range’s applicable use and any stair suitability before ordering.
What does iSense Suspense 03 tog 2.15 mean?
It is the published carpet thermal-resistance figure for that model. A heating-system decision must include the planned underlay tog as well as the carpet, and use the heating manufacturer’s combined limit.
Will Saxony carpet show footprints?
A deep Saxony pile can show changes in direction and shading from walking and vacuuming. See the named carpet sample in different lighting and ask about expected appearance before choosing a light colour.
What carpet widths does iSense Suspense come in?
Suspense 03 lists 4 m and 5 m widths. Your fitter should check the actual room shape and pile direction to determine material quantities and seam positions.
Should I use extra-thick underlay?
Not by default. Select underlay suited to the carpet’s construction, door clearance, traffic and heating conditions. Extra softness can conflict with support or thermal requirements.
How do I clean and maintain iSense?
Follow the named product’s care sheet and vacuum guidance. Use approved spill treatment and check any stain guarantee restrictions. Do not copy the cleaning instructions from unrelated polypropylene carpet.
