AW collection / Associated Weavers: questions and answers
The AW collection refers to Associated Weavers. Compare its carpet families through the specification of the exact range and colour, then plan the underlay, fitting and care for that carpet.
What does AW collection mean?
It refers to Associated Weavers. Names such as Invictus and iSense identify collection families, while the exact range and colour identify the carpet being ordered. Keep those product details on the quotation.
Is every Associated Weavers carpet polypropylene?
No brand-wide fibre assumption should be made. Tribeca 05 Clotted Cream is a specific 100% polypropylene example. Read the fibre declaration for your chosen range; different families need their own specification.
What widths are listed for Tribeca 05?
The UK manufacturer listing gives 4 m and 5 m widths. Confirm current availability and the width used in the measured layout. The same room area can lead to different order quantities depending on joins and the carpet layout.
Is the carpet tog enough to approve underfloor heating?
No. Tribeca 05 is listed at 1.700 tog, but the selected underlay adds thermal resistance. Compare the complete system with the heating supplier’s requirements and obtain agreement before fitting.
Can I bleach-clean it because it is synthetic?
Use the exact product’s cleaning instructions. “Synthetic” alone does not authorise bleach or establish a safe dilution. Ask for the applicable method and do not copy advice from a different AW range.
Do carpet fitting instructions also cover AW luxury vinyl?
No. Carpet and LVT are different flooring systems. Choose the exact product first, then use its fitting, care and warranty documents. Ask FloorDesigns for a quotation matched to that product and application.
How do iSense, Gaia, Vivendi and Sedna relate to Associated Weavers?
Associated Weavers presents them as carpet brands within its collection. The family name is a useful starting point, but keep the selected range and colour on the quotation. Its actual fibre, backing and specification determine the comparison.

Does the name Invictus identify carpet or luxury vinyl?
Associated Weavers uses Invictus for both carpet and luxury vinyl flooring. Specify the floor type and exact range in addition to the brand. Carpet underlay and care guidance should not be carried over to an Invictus LVT installation.

Are Sedna's regenerated yarn and recycled backing the same specification?
No. AW describes ECONYL regenerated nylon yarn separately from the recycled-PET backing. Those claims concern different components. Check the selected product's full declaration before describing the whole carpet as a single material or assigning a recycled percentage to it.

Does Vivendi's bleach-cleanable description give me a cleaning recipe?
No. AW's family description is a starting claim, not a dilution or treatment instruction. Obtain the current method for the exact range and follow its limits. Do not transfer that cleaning claim to another AW family merely because both carpets are synthetic.

Where should I start with AW warranty registration?
Use AW's warranty page to identify the route for the purchased product. Keep the confirmation, invoice and applicable conditions. The page separates carpet from LVT and provides brand-specific registration links; use the matching route rather than assuming one form applies to every range.
Manufacturer reference: Warranties.
What should I ask for when comparing two AW carpet quotations?
Compare the same range, colour, width, backing and underlay specification. Ask each quotation to identify measured quantity, preparation, fitting and finishing work. Keep the product data sheet with the chosen quote so a family name is not mistaken for a complete specification.
