The FloorDesigns story
The cream of carpet. The wonder of wood.
Home Solutions Interiors opened in August 2000 with a simple but ambitious idea: give customers a fuller interior service, not just a product. The early offer included designer flooring, carpets, custom curtains, custom lighting through ICA Lighting, and a complete interior design service.
Over time the flooring side grew stronger, the name evolved, and FloorDesigns became the front name customers remembered. Curtain Designs by Evelyn Kane also became part of the wider story.
The business was shaped by people including Tom Holleran and Christopher Craig, with Brian Parkes and many others contributing along the way. Some friends, colleagues, sales reps and managers from the industry are sadly no longer with us, but their part in the FloorDesigns journey is not forgotten.
To every customer from near and far, to every brand, supplier and industry friend who helped along the way: thank you. Floorcovering UK, we are proud to build with you. Twenty-five years on, let’s keep it going.
