Asiatic rugs: choose a collection that suits your room

Asiatic offers a broad collection of rugs across different materials, techniques, colours and pile styles. The manufacturer’s current catalogue distinguishes wool, polypropylene, polyester, viscose, jute and other materials, alongside hand-woven, hand-tufted, machine-woven and other constructions. These are filters for comparing ranges, not guarantees that every rug has the same care needs.

Start with size, texture and maintenance

First decide where the rug will sit and measure the usable area around furniture and doors. Then compare pile height and texture for the intended room. A dining area with chairs moving across a rug calls for a different practical assessment from a bedroom where softness is the main priority. Record the selected rug’s exact material, construction, dimensions and manufacturer care instructions before ordering.

Natural fibres are not all cared for the same way

Do not assume a cleaning method suitable for one rug also suits viscose, sisal or wool. Request the applicable manufacturer’s care directions for the selected range and construction. Check colour, size and material against the exact variant rather than a similar photograph.

Named examples for your shortlist

The manufacturer publishes size-specific references for these named rugs. Aston Copper Rug: 120x170cm (ASTO120170COPP), 160x230cm (ASTO160230COPP), 200x290cm (ASTO200290COPP). Camber Stripe Grey Rug: 80x150cm (CAMB0801500006), 120x170cm (CAMB1201700006), 160x230cm (CAMB1602300006), 200x290cm (CAMB2002900006).

Record the full rug name, size and SKU when asking for a sample or quotation. Manufacturer size identities recorded 8 October 2026. Ask us to confirm current stock, the quoted price and delivery arrangements for the exact size before ordering.

Place the furniture before choosing the size

Mark the intended rug outline on the floor and check the route through the room. For a sitting area, decide whether the sofa and chair legs should sit on the rug. For a dining area, allow for chairs being pulled out; check the whole arrangement rather than just the tabletop.

Texture and light change the appearance

View the sample beside the room’s finishes and from more than one direction. The Aston Copper page identifies 100% viscose pile, a different care consideration from a wool or synthetic rug. Record the exact size and product reference when requesting a quotation.

Fit the care routine to the rug

Use a suitable non-slip pad and follow the product’s care label. Asiatic recommends suction vacuuming and blotting spills rather than rubbing. Machine washing is only appropriate where the particular rug’s label permits it; a brand-wide washing rule would be misleading.
